Arris board member steps down

Arris director Willam Lambert, who has served on the company board since 1997, has retired effective of last week, according to a filing with Securities and Exchange Commission. 

From 1988 to 1997, Lambert served as the chairman, president and Chief Executive Officer of TSX Corporation, which was acquired by Arris in 1997. Each of the remaining nine board members will be up for re-election at Arris’ annual meeting of shareholders on June 5.

These other board members include: Arris chairman and CEO Robert Stanzione; Turner Broadcasting System vice chairman Andrew Heller; and former Cox Communications executive vice president Alex Best.
