Vivacom sees TV customer growth

Bulgarian telco Vivacom said that it saw a 76% growth in TV customers for the first quarter of 2013, compared to a 13% increase in people using its mobile services and 30% rise in those using mobile data services.

The firm, which did not break out precise figures, however, said that a growing customer base failed to compensate for the loss “due to regulatory intervention in the sector and the lower termination rates.” Vivacom’s total revenue dropped by 10.7% year-on-year to BGN195.4 million (€99.3 million) for the quarter, while profits came in at BGN3.8 million.
