The number of users of Danish cable operator YouSee’s music streaming service has tripled since the launch of the service as an app and is now close to 120,000, according to the company.
YouSee launched YouSee Musik as an app on January 7, making streaming music available via apps on Apple and Android devices. The service was previously available to computers connected to the YouSee broadband network.
YouSee Musik is available to YouSee broadband customers as part of their regular subscription and is also available as an option to Onfone mobile phone customers. YouSee merged with Onfone at the start of this year. The service currently offers about 20 million tracks. Users have the option to store music on their devices for consumption outside the home.
