Modern Times Group-owned pay TV platform Viasat Ukraine has struck an agreement with local leading commercial broadcaster Inter Media Group to carry all of the latter’s channels – the first time Inter’s services have been launched on a satellite platform.
“This is the first, but very important step in distribution of our Media Group channels on satellite platform. We are looking forward to expand cooperation with all participants of television market,” said Anna Bezlyudnaya, head of Inter Media Group.
Oksana Ferchuk, director of Viasat in Ukraine, said that the “partnership with Inter Media Group helped us to consolidate all national channels on our platform and become first official operator, which provides access to maximum number of Ukrainian channels. This partnership gives us competitive advantages and secures our leadership in the segment of satellite and digital television.“
