Arris to complete Motorola acquisition following regulatory clearance

The US Department of Justice has cleared technology company Arris’s acquisition of the Motorola Home business from Google, the last of the regulatory approvals required to move forward to completion of the deal.

Arris now expects to close the acquisition on Wednesday.

As a result of the acquisition, Google and US cable operator Comcast will each own approximately 7.85% of Arris’s shares.
