Switzerland-based video-on-demand service Viewster has added more than 200 TV and film titles to its service after striking new content deals with distributers including DRG and Screen Media Ventures.
The new deals cover US movie titles, as well as British and Australian series, including Channel 4 UK comedies The Inbetweeners and Peep Show, SciFi’s Flash Gordon and Australia’s ABC1 sitcom At Home with Julia.
Other distributers that are part of the new agreements include ABC Commercial Australia, Millennium Media Services, Sonar Entertainment, and Content Media Corp.
The content will be available to watch for free on an ad-supported basis in the US, UK, Germany, Australia, and other countries internationally. Viewster is an online VOD service that is available on the web and as an app for connected TVs and iOS and Android mobile devices.
