Sports channel Trace Sports and music and lifestyle channel Trace Urban have joined the Türksat satellite TV platform in Turkey.
Trace Sports and Trace Urban are being broadcast as part of Türksat’s Ust Paket. Trace Sports is available in HD while Trace Urban is in SD. The deal marks Trace Sports’ entry into the Turkish market and the launch of the Turkish-language version of the channel. Trace Urban is already present in Turkey on the TT Net IPTV service from Turk Telekom.
Laurent Dumeau, CEO of Trace Sports and vice-president, distribution for Trace channels, said: “We are pleased to launch Trace Urban in SD and Trace Sports in HD, and to introduce a Turkish – language version of the first channel dedicated to sports celebrities on the Türksat network – one of the most dynamic operators in Turkey. Given the rapid increase in pay TV subscribers, Turkey is a top-priority market for Trace in Europe.”
