AMC/Sundance Channel Global has promoted Harold Gronenthal to executive vice-president of programming and operations as part of a series of changes to its management team.
Jennie Morris as been promoted to vice-president, affiliate marketing, and Mark Fareri has been elevated to director of operations, AMC/Sundance Channel Global. Morris was previously director, affiliate marketing. Fareri, who will be responsible for managing operations including the preparation and delivery of all VOD content for affiliates, will continue to manage relationships with foreign language customisation vendors, as well as the company’s European origination facility. These developments follow recent announcements of plans to bolster staff in Asia.
Gronenthal previously led programming and scheduling efforts at AMC Networks.
Separately, Sundance Channel is to make a series of five new films from the 2013 Sundance Film Festival available on its VOD service prior to the linear channel in Europe and Asia. The titles include festival award winners Computer Chess and This is Martin Bonner, along with Halley, I Used to Be Darker and It Felt Like Love.
