Juniper Networks invests in iStreamPlanet

Networking equipment firm Juniper Networks has invested in streaming technology specialist iStreamPlanet.
Juniper invested the new cash through its Junos Innovation Fund and the funding adds to iStreamPlanet’s series A round, which it first opened in May 2011 led by Intel Capital.

iStreamPlanet said that it plans to use its Series A funding to accelerate the development of its live video streaming solutions, including Aventus, a cloud-based, live video workflow platform.

“Juniper Networks’ commitment to innovation in networking and caching in the cloud closely aligns with our vision and customer demand, and we are excited to be working with them and leveraging their expertise in this area,” said iStreamPlanet CEO Mio Babic.
