Yahoo reportedly in talks to buy Dailymotion

Yahoo is reportedly in talks to acquire a controlling stake in France Telecom-owned video site Dailymotion. 

According to a Wall Street Journal report, which cited people familiar with the talks, Yahoo could buy up to 75% of the French site in what would be CEO Marissa Mayer’s first major deal since joining Yahoo from Google last year.

Though neither firm has commented on the speculation, the WSJ said Dailymotion could be valued at around $300 million.
