Magyar Telekom partners with Appear TV

Hungarian telco Magyar Telekom has signed a deal with Norwegian broadcast and IP delivery firm Appear TV to help power its T-Home cable TV offering. 

Magyar Telekom, which is majority-owned by Deutsche Telekom, will centralise the control of its T-Home cable infrastructure by using Appear TV’s head ends.

The firm said this would maximise efficiency and create cost-savings and would avoid it simulcasting its analogue and digital services in its T-Home cable distribution network.
