Ziggo acquires SME service provider

Dutch cable operator Ziggo is expanding its offering for the business-to-business market by acquiring local voice and data specialist Esprit Telecom.

The acquisition of Esprit Telecom from the Detron ICT & Telecom Group is subject to approval by the Dutch competition authority. Esprit has a strong position in the SME market in the Netherlands. The acquisition also includes Zoranet, a business IT service provider focused on the retail sector.
