Andorra’s public telecoms operator is launching a new video-on-demand service that will let customers stream from a library of HD content.
Broadpeak’s CDN manager and Viaccess-Orca’s service delivery platform will power the new offering, with France Telecom-Orange Group subsidiary Sofrecom acting as the system integrator.
“Choosing Broadpeak helped Andorra Telecom to reduce the number of integrations and equipment, and therefore simplifies its future business operations,” said Andorra Telecom’s chief technical officer Joan-Marc Lauga.
The service will allow Andorra offer SD and HD VOD content streaming from its IPTV network, which Sofrecom has helped to run since 2009.
