Sunrise grows TV base

Swiss alternative telecom operator Sunrise had 38,000 IPTV customers at the end of last year, with over 8,000 further customers having placed orders by the end of December.

Sunrise introduced its IPTV service at the beginning of 2012, offering a single package of TV and fixed and mobile telephony and internet services. It also offers a catch-up TV service, Comeback TV.

According to Sunrise, 12% of Swiss consumers that opted to subscribe to a digital TV offering in the fourth quarter of 2012 chose Sunrise.
