Latvia’s Baltcom acquires eight smaller operators

Latvian cable operator Baltcom has acquired eight smaller telecom service providers.

The eight companies acquired – SIA Global DVA, SIA IME PLUSS, SIA Latvijas Datoru Tīkli, SIA Lain Net, SIA Interneta pasaule, SIA IPTV, SIA Rīgas Kabeļradio and SIA Rīgas Radiotranslācija – give Baltcom an expanded presence in the Rīgā, Jūrmalā, Ogrē and Salaspilī regions and in Mārupes and Ķekavas counties.

Customers from the acquired operators will be connected to the Baltcom next-generation network infrastructure progressively, with this expected to be completed in April.
