Moscow network operator MGTS is turning to powerline to deliver IPTV services within apartments.
MGTS has launched a new offering that enables users to take MTS’s IPTV service in apartments that are connected to its fibre network without theneed to lay additional cable within their apartments. Customers have the option to rent or buy the powerline equipment. MGTS’s GPON fibre network currently reaches 200,000 homes in the Russian capital, with a target to reach all households in the city by 2015.
