Romanian service provider Romtelecom has struck a deal with commercial broadcaster Pro TV to resume carriage of the latter’s channels as part of its offering.
Pro TV’s 11 channels – Pro TV, Pro TV International, Pro TV HD, Acasă TV, Acasă Gold, Acasă HD, ProCinema, Sport.ro, Sport.ro HD, MTV Romania and VH1 – were withdrawn in January after the pair failed to strike a deal over the price to be paid.
The operator replaced the channels with a a range of services including BBC Knowledge, Comedy Central, Shorts and BBC World News. These will remain in Romtelecom’s core packages on satellite and IPTV until the end of March, after which they will be included in different Dolce TV packages.
Romtelecom said its customers would not incur additional charges as a result of the deal struck with Pro TV.
