Annecchino replaces Dall’Orto at Viacom

Antonio  Campo Dall’Orto has left Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) and will be replaced by Raffaele Annecchino.

VIMN said that Dall’Orto, managing director of VIMN’s South Europe, Middle East & Africa business is leaving the company ‘to pursue other opportunities’. He was at Viacom for over fifteen years, launching MTV in Italy back in 1997.

His position will be filled by Annecchino, who has been upped from senior VP and GM of VIMN’s operations in Iberia, Greece and Turkey. A replacement SVP will be announced shortly.

VIMN operates channels including Comedy Central, MTV and Nickelodeon.

Annecchino, who has been at VIMN since 1999, will report directly to Bob Bakish, VIMN’s president and CEO, and will be based in Madrid. He will oversee all of the company’s businesses across Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, Africa, the Middle East, Malta and Turkey.

Bakish said, “Raffaele has done a tremendous job managing our businesses across Iberia, Greece and Turkey, driving our brands to many important wins even amidst economic challenges. Under Raffaele’s leadership, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and MTV in Spain have turned in solid performances, we launched six channels in Turkey, and our first Paramount Channel is growing steadily in its first year.”
