Telenor has named Morten Tengs as the new CEO of Telenor Satellite Broadcasting (TSBc).
Tengs was previously senior vice-president at Telenor Group’s Asian unit, based in Bangkok. He succeeds Cato Halsaa, who is to retire this summer.
“I am impressed that TSBc has taken such an important position in the market, whilst at the same time renewing their fleet of satellites. The last addition is the Thor 7 satellite, which will be ready for operation as of 2014. I look forward to taking over the lead of the company, and I am delighted for the opportunity to work with such motivated and highly skilled employees. I would also like to thank Cato Halsaa for the dedication and hard work he has invested in TSBc, which has contributed to a company well positioned for future growth,” said Tengs.
