Russian low-cost pay TV operator Tricolor TV grew its ARPU by 15% last year from RUB629 (€15.50) to RUB726, while annual revenue grew by 43% to RUB6.3 billion.
Tricolor TV said that its Tricolor Cinema movie service now had 200,000 subscribers. CEO Alexander Makarov said that value-added services now accounted for 12% of revenues. The operator’s HD base has reportedly passed the one million mark.
Tricolor TV plans to grow its base to 14.5 million by the end of this year, including 3.5 million HD subscribers.
Tricolor TV’s subscriber base stood at 11.9 million customers at the end of 2012, up 26% year-on-year.
