Estonian public broadcaster ETV has teamed up with the country’s leading transmission services provider Levira to pilot the broadcasting of 1080i HD services using the DVB-T2 standard.
The pilot project will aim to test the parameters for reception on different screens, including both TVs and other devices such as tablets.
About 250,000 Estonian homes are equipped with HD TVs. ETV’s HD signal will be receivable across mainland Estonia via existing rooftop aerials.
