Vectra boosts HD offering

Polish cable operator Vectra is to launch a number of new HD channels as part of its digital offering at the beginning of March.

Vectra is adding news service TVN24 HD to its Złoty and Platynowy (Gold and Platinum) packages, while adult channel Dorcel XXX HD will join the Sport na Ostro and Erotyczny packages. Combat sports channel Fightklub HD will also join the Sport na Ostro package. The Filmbox package will be boosted by the addition of Filmbox Action HD. Vectra said it was the first operator in Poland to provide an adult HD service.

The additions will mean that the Złoty package will now comprise 111 channels including 15 HD services, while the Platynowy package will comprise 137 channels including 24 HD services. The Sport na Ostro package will include 14 channels including seven in HD.
