Sky Deutschland has extended its distribution partnership with NBC Universal in a deal that will see the launch of Syfy HD and Universal 13th Street HD on its network from January 17.
NBC Universal has also extended its existing output deal with Sky for the distribution of subscription pay TV and video-on-demand rights to movie premieres on Sky’s movie channels and Sky Anytime and Sky Go VOD and TV anywhere services. Exclusive movie premieres on Sky will include Les Miserables, Anna Karenina and Oblivion.
The two new HD channels will be included in the Sky World package. Sky said it would add further HD services from NBC Universal in the course of 2013.
