UPC Netherlands has signed a distribution deal with HBO Netherlands that will see three channels and an on-demand offering made available to its customers.
From today, UPC customers can receive HBO HD, HBO 2 HD and HBO 3 HD for €15 per month, giving them access to series including Boardwalk Empire, Treme and Parade’s End. They will also be able to use HBO On Demand. Early next year, multiscreen service HBO Go will also be added.
“With UPC offering HBO, we succeeded in making our high quality content available to the vast majority of the Dutch population within one year of the launch of HBO in the Netherlands. We are very proud to welcome a large TV provider such as UPC as our partner”, said Jaap Bruijnen, general manager HBO Nederlands.
HBO Netherlands is a joint venture between HBO and cable operator Ziggo.
