German cable association ANGA has renamed its annual trade show as ANGA COM.
Formerly known as the ANGA Cable Show, the association said the new name better reflects the scope of the show, which now encompasses broadband, telephony and content distribution services.
Peter Charissé, managing director of ANGA, said, “Over the last few years, our event has developed into Europe’s leading business platform for broadband and content providers. In a focused manner we bring together network operators, vendors and broadcasters like no other event. Our product range covers broadband internet, telephony and content distribution on a par. This is now more clearly reflected by our new appearance, which includes the slogan ‘Where Broadband meets Content’ incorporated in the new logo.”
The third day of the congress, to be given the tagline Connected Home Special, will be organised in cooperation with German IT and communications association Bitkom.
This year’s Anga Cable Show attracted 440 exhibitors and 16,000 business visitors.
