Cosmos TV forced to cancel NBC Universal channels

Belarusian pay TV operator Cosmos TV has been forced to withdraw a number of NBC Universal channels from its network.

Following a request by the country’s Ministry of Information, Cosmos has withdrawn the Universal Channel, SyFy and Diva channels. The Ministry claimed NBC Universal did not have permission to broadcast the channels in Belarus.

Comsos has replaced the networks with Sony’s male-skewed entertainment channel Sony Turbo, documentary channel Nano TV and youth network TV Times.
