UPC Austria makes analogue bouquet free for digital subs

UPC Austria has announced that the 47 channels it offers via analogue signals under the Telekabel TV brand will be broadcast unencrypted on its digital platform from January 31.

UPC’s cable customers will be able to receive the Telekabel TV Digital channels on any TV with a DVB-C receiver in the house without the need for additional MediaBox set-top boxes. The new service will include HD versions of public channels ORF 1 and ORF 2.
