A growing IPTV subscriber base has seen Dutch telco KPN increase its TV market share to 20%.
Announcing third quarter results, KPN said it added 88,000 net IPTV subs, giving it a total IPTV base of 829,000. The telco’s DTT service Digitenne continued to lose subscribers during the quarter, with a total of 741,000 customers at the end of September, down from 771,000 the previous quarter and 853,000 a year earlier.
KPN said the number of customers taking a triple-play package increased by 63,000 during the quarter to 816,000.
