Canal Plus names D8 director

Canal Plus has appointed Xavier Gandon as director of programming at channels D8 and D17.

Gandon joins from TF1 where he was most recently director of TMC and NT1. He will report to Ara Aprikian, deputy CEO, in charge of editorial for free-to-air channels at Canal Plus Group.

Canal Plus recently acquired D8 and D17, formerly known as Diresct Star, from Bolloré.
