Netflix has updated its iPhone app for the UK and Ireland, making the service similar to the one found on tablet devices.
The new iPhone service offers more titles and galleries, and now includes a row at the top of the browsing screen that lets users continue watching programmes or films that they have already started watching where they left off. Netflix has also added personalised rows featuring film and TV recommendations.
By tapping on a movie or TV title, users are presented with information for the title, and a double tap starts instant playback. Search is now also available everywhere within the app.
The new Netflix app is available for iPhone and iPod Touch devices using iOS v5.0 and above. An Android version will be available soon, Netflix said.
