TP Vision, which manufactures Philips-branded TVs in areas including Europe, Russia and the Middle East, is to use IBM’s SmartCloud platform to deliver internet-based video and interactive services to connected TVs.
Philips Smart TV will use the IBM SmartCloud to place the service and application intelligence of the platform in the cloud, enabling it to better deliver services to users at peak demand times.
