Discovery’s TLC orders international formats across CEE

Discovery is to increase its programming spend for its lifestyle channel TLC in Russia and Poland and is to remake a raft of international formats.

TLC Poland will launch a local version of British food format The Great British Bake Off – known as The Great Polish Bake-Off – after striking a deal with BBC Worldwide. The Polish version will be produced by Endemol Poland.

It is also remaking design reality series Mad About The House, a format created by British producer Renegade for BBC3 that has also been optioned by TLC in the States, produced by Toro Media and hosted by Polish pop star Katarzyna Klich. 
TLC Poland is also launching  Masters of Make-Up, an original lifestyle series starring blogger Hanna Knopinska-Grzenkowicz and produced by Endemol Poland.

Meanwhile, TLC Russia is launching its first locally produced cooking series, Ready In Half An Hour, produced by Jet Films. The broadcaster has also commissioned a second season of Daughters vs Mothers.
