SABC probes chief executive

The board of South African broadcaster the SABC is investigating its chief executive Lulama Mokhobo and chief financial officer Gugu Duda over a ZAR3 million (€290,000) payment relating to an information and communications technology conference, according to The Sunday Independent.

It reports that the board has asked its deputy chairman to probe the payment, was used to establish a presence at the ICT Indaba event and for a trade exchange. There is a question mark over whether the payment had board approval.
