Ofcom confirms ATVOD’s regulatory role


Following a review, communications regulator Ofcom has decided the current arrangements for the co-regulation of the video-on-demand sector should remain in place and ATVOD should remain its co-regulator in this respect.

Slight amendments to the regulatory arrangements mean that ATVOD no longer needs prior Ofcom approval to publish or amend guidance or consult Ofcom before issuing an enforcement notification.
