Tricolor’s president Mordachev steps down

Vyacheslav Mordachev, the president of Russian pay TV operator Tricolor TV, has left the company.

In a statement, Mordachev said he was proud to have played a part in growing the company but wanted a fresh challenge. Mordachev joined Tricolor as CEO in 2006, becoming president in October 2011. Last week, he said Tricolor’s goal was to reach 17 million subscribers by 2014, including seven million HD customers, which would make it the country’s second largest operator.
