MStar joins MoCA

MStar Semiconductor has joined the Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) as an associate member.

MStar provides integrated chipsets for the pay TV set-top box business as well as for TVs and mobile communications, with a strong presence in Latin America and Europe.

“As a major player in STB controller SoCs, advanced security ICs and other chipsets for the digital TV sector, we see an increasing requirement for MoCA technology to be built into devices to enable a truly connected home,” said Philippe Notton, vice-president of set-top boxes at MStar.
