Strong results for YouSee

Danish pay TV operator YouSee increased revenues by 6.5% during the first half of the year to a total of DKK2.3 billion (€309 million).

The TDC-owned operator saw its subscriber base increase by 4.7% year-on-year. Revenue from premium TV increased by 5.4% from due mainly to ARPU increases following January price hikes. TDC said VOD usage was up 230%.
First half EBITDA increased 10.5% to DKK829 million.

YouSee added 4,000 net broadband customers to its base in the second quarter, while TV numbers were flat. TDC added 9,000 customers to its own-branded IPTV service in the quarter.
