Satellite operator SES has struck a multi-year capacity deal with the Eurovision network to broadcast the London 2012 Paralympic Games and other sporting events internationally.
Eurovision is increasing its SES capacity to 54MHz and will use the SES teleport and the NSS-806 satellite at 40.5° West to broadcast the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games to TV audiences across Latin America.
The new capacity will also be used for contribution and distribution of major 2013-2014 sporting events in high-definition, including the Tour de France, Formula One, European and Latin American Football including 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
