Olympics fail to win 3D viewers in the UK

Data from UK ratings agency BARB shows that 113,000 viewers watched the Olympics Opening Ceremony in 3D. The total audience for the event was about 27 million, putting the 3D numbers into perspective.

UK public broadcaster the BBC has been experimenting with 3D and is showing some Olympics coverage in the 3D format. Research firm GfK estimates 1.3 million 3D sets have been sold in the UK to date.
