UK users still unable to get 2Mbps-plus internet access

Some 13% of UK premises are still unable to get access to internet speeds of 2Mbps or above, according to analysis by Point Topic.

The company found that 3.7 million homes and business premises remained outside the footprint of 2Mbps services, and predicted that 2.5 million premises would still be unable to access the internet at this speed by 2016.
Point Topic also found that users in southern England had a much higher propensity to take up broadband that the rest of the UK.
