France Télévisions and Orange partner for 3D Olympics

French public broadcaster France Télévisions will air coverage of the Olympic Games in 3D this summer.

The broadcaster will deliver a dedicated channel, francetvsport 3D, via Orange’s IPTV and satellite networks from July 28 to August 12, offering 3D coverage of the Games each day from 10:00 to 23:00. In total, over 200 hours of 3D footage will be on offer.

France Télévisions and Orange have partnered to deliver 3D coverage of various events since 2008, including the Roland Garros tennis tournament and The Largest Forest in the World, a documentary series filmed in native 3D.
