TivùSat, the Italian free-to-air digital satellite service, has passed the 1.5 million customer mark.
The operator said there are now more than 1.5 million active TivùSat smartcards. The platform launched in 2009 by broadcasters RAI, Mediaset and Telecom Italia Media.
Separately, TivùSat is adding the MTV Italia channel to its line-up and is in talks with Sky Italia to carry its terrestrial channel Cielo.
