Liberty Global has confirmed that Niall Curran will become president of its content and channels division Chellomedia.
Curran replaces the late Shane O’Neill, who passed away earlier this year.
Curran has been Chellomedia chief operating officer since 2003. He joined in 2000 when he was working on turning around cable operator UPC. Prior to that he was at Disney.
Charlie Bracken, chairman of Chellomedia, executive vice-president and Co-chief financial officer of Liberty Global, said: ‘’We are delighted to have Niall at the helm of Chellomedia and very excited at the potential of his leadership of an important group asset which continues to demonstrate growth and the possibility of expanding further, through both acquisition and organic growth.’’
