BSkyB ramps up Sky Go content

British pay TV broadcaster BSkyB has added a raft of high-end content to its video-on-demand service Sky Go.

The News Corp-backed company has added a selection of content from its entertainment channels Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, Sky Living and Sky Arts including Armando Iannucci’s comedy series Veep, sci-fi series Bedlam, Sky Arts’ The Book Show and the second season of Ricky Gervais’ An Idiot Abroad.

Holly Knill, product director, Sky Go, said: “We‘re always working to ensure that Sky customers have the widest choice of content available to watch as and when they want it. Whether it’s new and exclusive comedy shows like Veep and Alan Partridge or entertainment shows including Smash and A League of Their Own, this is exactly what the updated version of Sky Go delivers. Entertainment shows like Sky Atlantic’s Game of Thrones and Sky 1’s An Idiot Abroad have proven popular on the platform; a trend we expect to continue with the flexibility of on-demand viewing.”
