SeaChange International has acquired interactive TV software company Flashlight Engineering and Consulting.
The US company specialises in designing and writing software for digital TVs and set-top boxes. SeaChange has purchased all of its assets and intellectual property, including source code, for an undisclosed fee. Flashlight’s president and CEO Eric Miller has been appointed vice-president at SeaChange, effective immediately.
SeaChange chief financial officer Mike Bornak commented, “We welcome the highly talented Flashlight organisation to our SeaChange team. This purchase of Flashlight assets is an example of the research and development investments we are making to accelerate the delivery of our next generation software solutions and develop new revenue streams.”
