Sweden’s radio and TV authority, the MRTV, has awarded five national digital-terrestrial TV licences and one local licence to broadcasters.
Standard definition versions of BBC Entertainment, Canal Plus Mix, TV4 News, Travel Channel, Viasat Explorer and 24HD will be available to DTT viewers. The licences are valid until March 2014. MPEG-4 and DVB-T2 technology will be used to broadcast the channels on the network, operated by Teracom.
