Swiss pay TV operator Teleclub has launched a CI Plus option using technology from NDS.
The CI Plus modules enable Teleclub subscribers to access all channels, including HD channels, without requiring a set-top box. The modules are based on the NDS VideoGuard conditional access system, and additional HD DVR functionality is available via an approved external hard drive.
Wilfried Heinzelmann, a member of the board of Teleclub, said, “Our new CI Plus and HD DVR-ready solutions give us the opportunity to reach new target markets and introduce new functionality for our subscribers. CI Plus modules provide users with greater flexibility in their hardware choice – and with that more ways to enjoy our service. By employing robust content protection from NDS, we are fulfilling the security requirements of our content partners to ensure that their content remains protected.”
