Teleste extends Intelligent Networks offering

Finland-based technology company Teleste (Stand E19) will introduce several new products and solutions to its Intelligent Networks offering at ANGA Cable.

]According to Teleste, its Intelligent Networks solution helps cable operators increase the value of their networks by improving operational efficiency, providing real-time monitoring, and automatically isolating problems. At ANGA, Teleste will showcase the Teleste AC8700, a fibre optical node that can adjust itself automatically and adapt to changing demands of the networks. Also on show will be the digital return path transmitter for the AC9000, which Teleste says doubles the capacity of existing networks without the need to install new fibre connections.

At ANGA, Teleste will also introduce new HDO modules to complement its product family that covers various headend optics. The HDO family concept includes the HDO772 fibre transmitter with the HDO750 series optical amplifiers. The HDO772 is a directly modulated forward path transmitter, while the HDO750 series products allow pay-as-you-grow modularity.

On the headend side, Teleste’s new Optimo transcoder for cable TV, broadcast IPTV and OTT applications will also be highlighted. Optimo introduces adaptive streaming with multiscreen transcoding and advanced image enhancement, while the Luminato headend platform will be enhanced with an FEC codec module, which brings advanced IP forward error correction to Luminato.
