Gary Carter, the chief operating officer of FremantleMedia, has stepped down and will leave the producer and distributor at the end of 2012.
Carter runs FremantleMedia’s operations across Europe and is chief operating officer of FMX, the company’s multiplatform unit. His departure will follow that of Tony Cohen, who announced he was leaving in April. FremantleMedia is owned by pan-European broadcaster RTL where there have also been senior management changes with Gerhard Zeiler leaving as CEO in April to become president of Turner Broadcasting System International.
