Nordic telco Telenor has named Kjell-Morten Johnsen as vice-president and head of European operations.
Johnsen, who was previously managing director of Telenor Serbia, will take charge of a new regional European unit with responsibility for central European operations in Hungary, Serbia and Montenegro as well as the operations in Sweden and Denmark. Telenor Norway will remain a separate business unit headed by Berit Svendsen.
Executive vice-president Kristin Skogen Lund will strengthen her focus on Telenor’s innovation agenda through her position as head of digital services, including Telenor Broadcast. She was previously head of both of digital services, broadcast, and Telenor’s Danish and Swedish operations. The company said Skogen Lund would now be able to concentrate on the increasingly important development of digital services.
